The time between my birthday, March 29th and my sister Debbie's birthday, April 24th has always been a special time for us. My sister would send a card and call me and always say, "you caught up to me again."
With the event of my husbands birthday being today, I was thinking about my birthday coming around next month and how I was not going to hear for the first time from my sister, "You caught up to me again."
My husband goes out to the mailbox and brings in the mail. In the mail is a catalog from Swiss Colony. Now Swiss Colony has my very favorite candy in the world in it. Right before Christmas I posted this Butter Toffee candy on my Facebook page saying, "I hope I get this from Santa." I did!!
My husband opens the catalog almost immediately to this page and walks over to me and says, you have to see this. He had noticed the Cute as a bug bites and that is what he was bringing to my attention. My eyes went right to the LADYBUG tin containing my most favorite in the world candy. Everyone following my Facebook page by this time should be aware of my ladybug connection to my sister. I don't think she had a direct connection to Swiss Colony obviously but how COOL IS THIS? I did feel a huge hug from her. I am reading, "The First Phone Call From Heaven," as I know she wanted me to do that. I feel she is reaching out and touching me today for several reasons:

- It's my husbands birthday. She liked him and in fact, felt a connection to him because of his health problems. Quite frankly, my husband doesn't normally open the Swiss Colony Catalog when it comes. He could give less of a crap about mail order candy, meat and cheese.
- She knows I am thinking about her. In fact, she sent two lady bugs last week ( living ones) but I thought you all might be getting tired of seeing my visiting lady bugs so I just let them hang around. I did have my husband photograph them and now I might post them as I think she is wanting to make her presence known again and I will always do that for her.
- She wants me to know she is acutely aware that I am going to have a tough time between my birthday and hers. I was sitting in the sun two days ago reading the book and I started talking out loud to my sister and I told her that I feel guilty that I am sitting on my deck in the sun reading. She loved to do that. I pray there is sunshine and books, plenty of books where my sisters spirit dwells.
