The Peppers are back to lend a helping hand!
Lots of people are going to ask, what is TBI? TBI is the abbreviation for Traumatic Brain Injury. It occurs because of an accident and it can also be caused by a blood clot or hemorrhage during a stroke. TBI is the subject we are bringing awareness to in this book.
This is the 2nd book in a series of books I am writing where my wild and crazy singing band of cousins (The Jalapeno Peppers) along with Tilley the tomato travel around the country helping wherever help is needed.
Thousands of folks followed the journey of the toddler Tripp Halstead and he spent 5 months in the hospital children's hospital in Atlanta, after undergoing over 10 surgeries needed as a repercussion of a traumatic brain injury that occurred because of a freak accident at his daycare.
My Kickstarter tells a lot of story and provides links to National News reports and follow ups so be sure to click the links. Tripp's parents gave me permission to feature Tripp in this story so we could bring awareness about TBI to the nation.
TBI changes everything in the lives of the patients and the families, much more than most people realize. My husband had a stroke on Christmas night 2009 and our lives have forever been changed. I know about this all too well and have first hand experience with the trauma.
