Is the consumer interested in buying CD's anymore?

I have a question for the general public. Are you as a consumer even interested in buy physical CD's anymore?

In this world of digital media, instant downloads for everything from movies to TV shows and music, are you interested in buying physical CD's or is simply downloading your music the way you want to go?

I would love comments on this blog post as I am going to be writing a story about this subject and would love to be able to quote people from this blog post. If you don't want to be quoted, please just state in your comment, "don't quote me," and I won't.

IMHO NO CDs have hit the bottom... most people get music on their phone these days... Maybe at gigs you can sell a few... But with PoNo sound coming out... CDs as taking the way of cassettes

I agree with Bobby. CDs are definitely a tool to be sold at shows. You're selling the crowd a piece of the memory of the show. So, it's not just about the music, at that point, it's about taking home a memory from the show. Especially if the band sticks around to sign it..which I recommend. Anyone who spends the $ to buy your cd, when they can get it for free via streaming or sharing, should warrant a signature from the artist, or something special. Other than that, people just aren't really buying music anymore, physical OR digital.. For the most part, it's all streamed or shared.

The use of technology is a dream for them but they are not even getting the basic facilities. They are still in Stone Age times they use to burn the woods to make food because there is no gas.

I haven't bought CD's since college graduation when we were asked to record all our essays and drawings for storage. I don't think anyone will ever want to review those CD's though, just a formality.
