December 2013 - My Sister Debbie

I can't believe it has been so long since I did a blog post.  So much has happened in the past 3 months.  The saddest and most painful thing happened - On December 13th, 2013, I lost my sister.  She battled cancer for 11 years and I have never seen anyone fight so long and hard to stay alive.  She survived many more years than any doctors said she would.  She was a fighter and a survivor.  She was very specific about seeing certain things like her daughters graduating High School and College and also celebrating her 25 Wedding Anniversary with her Richie.  She made those goals and more.  It is 3 weeks ago today and I am having a tough time.  Some of the days since her passing have been better than others.  She would not want me to be sad but it is hard not to be.  They say the firsts are the hardest.  They were for me when my Dad passed so I need to get through all these firsts.  Fridays I suspect will be tough for awhile.  I always disliked Friday the 13th and now I despise it as not only did Debbie pass on that day but so did my Father on Friday the 13th, October 2006.  I have created a Memorial page for my sister at my website.  I am adding things daily.  The photo above is my sister when she was in her early twenties.  She was always beautiful inside and out.  Her daughters look so much like her.  They are both beautiful inside and out as well.  I would love for the people who loved her to respond to this blog post and add a comment for me and her daughters to read.  I will attach this blog to her Memorial page to make it easier for everyone to respond and vice-verse.
